To know where you are going, you must know where you have been...or so I'm told. My given name is Kera. I've been Kera all my life. My name is unique, special, and amazing. It's rare to meet anyone with that exact spelling. My chosen Native name is Neha. It is often what I go by. I am married, in my thirties, have two wonderful stepsons, and a ton of fur babies. But that is not what this is about.
Nature's Temple was started 1 1/2 years ago by me and my "adopted" sister, Leslie, whom I affectionally will always call "my little monkey." She has since moved onto other endeavors. We started with a dream of bringing organic bath and beauty products to those who could not afford the ones on the market. We both know the struggle of "robbing Peter to pay Paul" and we don't believe a woman (or a man) should have to sacrifice their want of healthy, chemical-free products just because their paycheck isn't enough. We formulated, tested, and created products that clients love. Then my journey began to change. I began seeking out the path of servitude to women of all walks of life. I took classes and networked with elders. I began to see that this is a life path not just an "in the moment" path. I struggled (and still do some days) to make room in my life.
Tonight I came to the realization that I don't "need" to make room, per se. Nature's Temple is that space. It is the beginning, the branch connecting, the mouth of the bay...it is what feeds my journey ahead...Sacred Womon...an online (and hopefully soon in the community) selection of classes taught by myself and my mentor. Together we look to bring back the sacredness of womyn, to show them that though they think they are broken...they are not. My mentor and I are life doulas. We help womyn find their center, their purpose, we help them develop what it is in their life that they need. We help them realize their dreams and reach them. This is our life work, our legacy..this is Nature's Temple. We hope you'll join us!
